The pilot year of the HELFEST music festival will take place at the Delňa summer swimming pool in Prešov as early as September 2, 2023.The Heľenine Oči band invited Slovak and foreign colleagues to the all-day musical celebration.The first names are already known!

The popular Prešov band Heľenine Oči has been swimming in the waters of the Slovak music scene since 1999. "In 2024 we will be 25 years old.We have long considered how we will celebrate this quarter century.Since we always want to give our fans something more than the standard, I came up with the idea of ​​making our own festival.And so that everything is tip-top in 2024, we will organize a one-day "warmup" festival already in 2023," explained the leader of the group, Martin Mihalčín, how the idea of ​​organizing a completely new music festival came about. cyperotundone

HELFEST will take place at the Delňa summer swimming pool in Prešov on September 2, 2023."We are trying to organize it mainly for our fans, but also for people who want to experience a slightly different festival from what they are used to," reveals the voice of Heľenin Očí.

On the first Saturday in September, 2 large and 4 mini stages will be set up in the area of ​​Prešov's Delna."Together, 6 spaces of different sizes will be created, where something interesting will always happen.For example, one mini stage will be built - if everything goes well - on a windlass (car - Praga V3S)."

"During our career, we have played at countless events. We can learn from each one, so I hope that we will prepare our HELFEST well down to the smallest detail," says the singer, indicating that their festival will definitely deviate from established festival standards, and that the visitors events can expect many unusual experiences and a lot of fun.

The guys are fully engaged in the organization of the all-day music event and are announcing the first names that will become part of HELFEST."Of course, our band plans to prepare a special concert that can only be experienced at HELFEST.We are considering more guests, more members of the brass section, bonfires, dances... just a proper party of the Heľenine Oči band.But we are also looking forward to the performances of the bands that have already confirmed their participation," Mihalčín opened the topic of the music program of the festival.

Slovakia will be represented by HORKÝŽE SLÍŽE, MALALATA – Balkan Bashavel, BIJOUTERRIER, BDHS – Blikajúci Dychový Hubobný System.The first announced foreign performer is FANFARE CIOCARLIA from Romania."We will publish other names gradually," says the organizer of the event.

Visitors to the first year of HELFEST can look forward to dozens of performers, as well as a huge selection of accompanying programs.This is evidenced by the fact that the already mentioned 6 stages will be available in the area!But the party won't end after the last live performances!"For now, I will reveal only one specialty.When I was in Koh Phangan, Thailand, I really liked that at the “Full Moon Party” every hotel on the beach facing the sea played different music and people chose where they wanted to party.This is exactly how I want to end our festivals.Sometimes around midnight, the party starts on each of the six stages until four in the morning, and it's only up to the people which party they choose.For example, I am looking forward to the fact that the "Bad Taste Party" will be raging from midnight on a small stage in the discussion tent.Things like New Kids on the Block, Britney Spears and the like will play there.I would like to participate in the selection of songs myself," the singer invites to a great idea.

"Since we are trying to ensure that everyone at the festival does not miss anything, we decided to limit the capacity of the festival to 3,000 people," explains Martin Mihalčín.Entry will therefore be limited and the space on Delna will be fenced off to accommodate just this number of visitors."We don't want people to crowd and wait in long lines.We will try to set it up so that we all feel good," explains the singer and festival organizer.And at the same time he adds: "I would like to invite everyone to the birthday celebration of the band Heľenine Oči."We are trying to prepare the best possible event for you and for a long time we have been thinking about how to organize it nicely and with dignity.My personal goal is to make a festival that I myself would like to participate in.Either organizationally or musically."
